This body of work is a series of war clubs, which are universal, appearing in every culture as the beginning of humankind’s trajectory toward war. The war club represents a primal violence. Since the time of Cain and Abel we have continued to modify this weapon. The materials change from wood and stone to metal and later refined with advanced technologies, but the purpose remains the same. My hope is that we can some day put down the club.
